Below are the advertising sizes and rates for the 2009 Publication Year. Advertising contracts for the 2009 publication year will run from November/December 2008 –September/October 2009.  This publication year will see a switch from a 2 column layout to a modified 3 column layout, so ¼ page and business card ads have been replaced with 1 column, half column, and 2 column x 2 inches.  In order to advertise you must be either a utility of associate member of South Dakota Rural Water.

By switching to full bleed, your customers get to see more of your product. Your advertisement and the magazine will both look more professional. Bleed is required on all four edges to allow flexibility in placement. Advertisements should be submitted in a digital format (TIFF and EPS are preferred) with a minimum resolution of 300 dpi. Black & White advertisements should be set to grayscale. Color advertisements should be set to CYMK.

South Dakota Rural Water Digital Directory Advertising Rates

Since the last publication of a Rural Water Directory in 2004, demand has been growing for a new directory.  The new South Dakota Rural Water Digital Directory allows systems and companies to update their information directly, which means when you access this new online directory you will always have the most up-to-date information.  Some systems have already started updating their information online, and widespread access is expected before the start of 2009.  As all of these systems access the directory to update their information, and search for names and phone numbers, they will have the opportunity to see your advertisement in two forms.  The first will be a banner ad (468 x 60 px) which will change each time they change pages, and a second full page ad which they can print out from the directory section.  The cost of this two ad combination is $150 for one year.
